Management responsibilities include:

  • Working with employees and the management team to set and accomplish goals
  • Prioritizing and delegating daily tasks and long-term projects
  • Developing and maintaining outstanding relations with customers and vendors
  • Ordering and merchandising products
  • Overseeing inventory and maintaining records
  • Training, scheduling, hiring, and supervising employees
  • Enforcing company policies and ensuring a safe environment for customers and employees
  • Contributing to the financial success of the business by overseeing the operational performance of the store and controlling expenses
  • Evaluating, coaching, and developing employees
  • Recognizing and understanding factors that affect sales and implementing actions to improve sales
  • Exercising good judgment and decision-making in response to customer and employee concerns

Minimum Job Requirements:

The successful candidate for the Market of Choice Management training program will live the company's values of integrity, resourcefulness and competence and exhibit the following traits:

  • Ability to adapt and make on-the-go changes as needed
  • Strong attention to detail

Get ready for a high-energy, team-oriented environment! The Management Training Program is an intensive process that is both challenging and fun. Trainees spend time working in multiple departments at various Market of Choice locations to learn all aspects of the grocery industry. Upon successful completion of the program, participants obtain management positions with Market of Choice.

Preference will be given to applicants with previous grocery management or supervisory experience.

Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling required.
